WEB APPLICATIONS PROGRAMMER (2 positions)

Responsibilities:

This is a challenging position in the Software Development Group. In this role, you will develop solutions to business problems across multiple software platforms utilizing various technologies while adhering to Company’s Software Development standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop coding assignments given by the lead developer from use cases, design documents, and other means while incorporating unit and system testing where applicable, in a timely fashion.
• Create appropriate documentation for each finalized project.
• Research and utilize new technologies to drive leading edge development and bring business benefit
• Identify opportunities for enhancement in existing applications and designs and communicate them to the lead developer
• Perform unit and system testing on the team’s code to ensure that it meets functional and quality requirements.

Requirements:

Technical competency and demonstrating success utilizing the technologies or frameworks listed below. Experience is preferred where noted but exceptions will be made based upon willingness and competency to learn and adapt to new technology.
Object-oriented development (C#, Java)

2. BlackBerry SDK v4.6 and higher

2. Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 (all frameworks up to and including 3.5)

• Web Services
1. WCF
• AJAX/Web 2.0 development

• Database interaction via SQL and LINQ (MS SQL Server and DB2)
